Dog Days Schedule

Our first game this Saturday is at 9:00am on Field 8. Please be at the Hamburg Nike Base no later than 8:30am. Our game times are 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm and if we make the Championship Game 3:30pm. u17 Hobart Update

Many are eager to attend the Hobart Team Camp, and I dont blame them. We could really use 1-3 more short sticks to ensure a positive experience. THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Coach P and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend such a success. It was a great time with many lasting memories. Coach P and I could not be happier about the play of our team. It was a great weekend (especially getting beat by a 5th grader in poker...HAHAHA)See you all at practice on Monday....

BLA Team Cookout on 7/14/08

All BLA team members and their families are invited to our annual family cookout after our scheduled practice on Monday. Please plan on attending it is very important for all players to be present. We have added a game vs. Lancaster at there field 5201 William Street Lancaster, NY 14086 on July 9th. The start time will be 7pm. Please be there by 6:30. Rising Freshman and u13 Tryouts Dates and Location Announced

The under-13 tryouts and Rising Sophomores teams will hold their tryouts on Sunday June 8 from 10-12 am at UB Main Street Campus. Please register online ahead of time and send your waiver in. If there are enough players, we will make multiple teams at each age group.

2008 Fields Update

This summer we will be renting the two fields at UB South Campus. They are on Bailey Avenue across from the Veterans Hospital. Overall, the fields are pretty centrally located for everyone, including those traveling over an hour and half from Canada. The Skill School will be at West Seneca East High School.

Team Events

Any parents interested in getting involved please let us know. Parents have already signed up to post pictures on the web and help with summer cookouts. We plan on having one or more alumni game days and a Big Brother Day. Also, please contact the BLA if you would be interested in hosting a player from a Canadian team that has contacted us and plans on coming to town. As friends are made, we may also need families to host BLA teammates that live great distances during the 3-day skill school or at other times.

1812 SHOOT OUT

The tournament will be Saturday, July 12th in Sackets Harbor, NY. Players will be responsible to provide their own transportation to and from the tournament.

Team Experiences and Fees

The 2008 planned summer will include the following: Summer Player Development Program (agility performance training by Kinetic Performance, weekly team practices, 3-day individual Skill School, training and game apparel, BLA bag, local games), and the following tournaments: Irondequoit Invitational Lacrosse Tournament June 28 and the 1812 Shootout July 12. U13 players are not required to purchase a BLA helmet or gloves. The fee to include everything will be $360. The planned tryout date as of now will be the first Sunday in June.

Sackets Harbor Hotel Information

Game times will not be known until closer to the tournament. However, hotels have been reserved under the Buffalo Lacrosse Academy for all interested in player and parents. Staying overnight Friday or Saturday night is completely voluntary. Games will only be played on Saturday, July 12th.
